21 Dreams is a community-rooted nonprofit dedicated to advancing the cultural and creative arts in Montgomery, Alabama. Founded in 2016, the organization emerged from a vision to retain, support, and amplify local artists in a city rich with cultural history yet lacking creative infrastructure.

Meet Our Founder: Kalonji
Kalonji Gilchrist is the Founder and Executive Director of 21 Dreams. As a visionary creative and advocate for cultural equity, Kalonji has led the organization with a mission-driven approach since its founding in 2016. With deep ties to Montgomery and a passion for building community through the arts, he continues to cultivate spaces where artists feel seen, supported, and empowered to use their craft as a vehicle for change.
